First Aid at Work

This practical three-day course gives you a more comprehensive level of first aid training, designed for higher-risk workplaces or organisations needing full first aid cover.

You’ll cover key topics including

• CPR and defibrillator awareness
• How to assess and manage an emergency
• Treating bleeding, burns and shock
• Responding to choking incidents
• Managing unconscious casualties
• Dealing with fractures and spinal injuries
• Responding to heart attacks, strokes and seizures
• Workplace accident response
• Practical first aid scenarios and hands-on learning

As well as learning how to respond to a wider range of workplace incidents, injuries and medical emergencies.

Compared to Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW), this course provides more in-depth training and is better suited to higher-risk environments, larger workplaces or organisations requiring a fully qualified workplace first aider.

The course combines practical, hands-on learning with straightforward theory to help you feel confident stepping in when it matters most.

Assessment includes practical demonstrations and a short written assessment. Successful learners will achieve the QA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF), valid for three years.
