Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS)

NAEMT’s Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) course is recognised around the world as a leading programme in pre-hospital trauma care and is taught in more than 80 countries. The course helps you build confidence in assessing trauma patients, thinking clearly under pressure and making informed decisions about their care. You’ll explore:

• The physiology of life and death
• Haemorrhage control
• Airway management
• Breathing, ventilation and oxygenation
• Circulation and shock

You’ll put your learning into practice through skills stations, case studies and realistic simulations. Evidence-based approaches and current UK guidelines will be discussed and applied throughout the course.
