FREC 3 (First Response Emergency Care)

The First Response Emergency Care (FREC) course is a 5-day programme designed to equip learners with essential emergency care skills. Covering patient assessment, airway management, CPR, AED use, and handling medical and trauma emergencies — including catastrophic bleeding, fractures, and childbirth — the course provides both theoretical knowledge and practical experience.

Learners also explore the responsibilities of a first responder, including safe practice, patient consent, scene assessment, triage, and the use of medical equipment.

Assessment includes written exams, skills stations, and practical scenarios. Ideal for those entering the emergency services, event medical cover, or high-risk industries, this course also forms part of a recognised route to higher-level prehospital care qualifications.
